Friday, September 25 is a day for MC Hammer pants, Free Meek Mill T-shirts and yelling out that Wu-Tang is assertively for the kids—because X gon’ give it to ya. And by X we mean your friends at the International Freeski Film Festival (iF3), and by it we mean our annual hip-hop party. You already know that iF3 and all-time parties are synonymous, so don’t miss this opportunity to kick it during the ninth instalment of iF3 with style and grace.
To take our already infamous hip-hop parties to the next level, we’ve booked iF3’s favourite hypeman Rodrigo Vergara and MCs who’ve had the chops to share the stages with the likes of Eminem, KRS ONE, Wu-Tang and Classified to help you relive some of hip-hop’s classics. Without further ado, allow us to introduce DJ Blaster, Tony La Sauce, Frenchi Blanco and PhD.
Limited edition! Only five packages will be sold and include: Spy Helm Sunglasses + Spy Corpo T-Shirt + iF3 Festival T-Shirts + All Movies + All Parties + Movie Awards + Cali P “Healing of the Nation” autographed vinyl
Holding it down on the wheels of steel, DJ Blaster is the backbone of the iF3 Hip Hop Party. Over the past 18 years, Blaster has established himself as Quebec’s hottest touring DJ. While his reputation for keeping the dance floor live precedes him, his talent has also allowed him to pen Busta Rhymes, Ice Cube, Rihanna, Juelz Santana, Dead Prez, KRS ONE and Classified down on his resumé as artists he’s worked with.
Tony La Sauce
Tony La Sauce is the drummer you dream of being while fiddling away on your steering wheel stuck in traffic—manic, but in command. As much a musical feat as an athletic feat, La Sauce turns rhythm into spectacle.
Frenchi Blanco & PhD
For the better part of two decades, Frenchi Blanco has been spitting his rhymes for the everyday people of Quebec. Known for his signature blend of dirty French street slang, Frenchi Blanco’s lyrical prowess knows no boundaries between French and English. And while some like it “à la carte,” Blanco’s partner in crime, PhD, likes it “à la Francaise.” Paying respect to the roots of his French upbringing, PhD’s signature flow—“à la Francaise”—blends English slang with French pronunciation for a performance of elevated linguist mastery. As two parts of the FP Crew, Blanco and PhD have decades of experience in keeping the party going.
